Where the fun begins...

Below is a menu of services offered.  Each project will be unique and the fees may vary slightly based on your scope of work.  Swain detail + design works with each client to develop a plan and create a budget based on their needs and long term goals.  All inquiries, big + small, are greatly appreciated and always welcome.  Initial consultations are always complimentary.

detail + design

 detail + design level begins with an initial on-site consultation. This helps us properly identify your needs and wishes for your re-design as well as helping me understand your tastes, the dynamics of the space and your long term goals. After this point, I'm in the studio and developing the final design plan.  This is the fun stuff!...and a highly collaborative phase. We work together to finalize all the details. Once complete, I deliver a finished floor plan accompanied by recommendations and specifications for paint, artwork, lighting, textiles and mill work....everything you will need to transform your space.

*detail + design fees are billed in two separate installments.

plan + manage

plan + manage level includes everything offered in detail + design but carries your design through to completion.  An allowance for paint, artwork, lighting and textiles is included.  Your space is designed, the details are purchased, the work is planned and the final installation is managed.  Your only task is to provide the inspiration and sit back and enjoy the results!  Some items that may impact the final costs are furniture purchases as well as certain trade fees such as plumbing, electrical, finish carpentry and mill work.  Larger, more complex projects may require a revised fee.

guide + protect

guide + protect level could be described as something of a friendship. You love to decorate but need a little advice about what to keep and what to give away.  Your friends no longer answer your texts when you're at HomeGoods.  You want someone to grab a coffee and pick out a sofa with you.  If any of these sound familiar, you may need some guidance in protecting your largest investment...your home.  Perhaps you need someone to text you back.  Maybe you need someone to shop for furniture with you.  Or maybe you just need to touch base once a week for an hour to help you stay focused and on track with your project. With guide + protect, you choose how and when you need me.
